“Hamilton Residents Association are great people to work with, we have a good relationship and we liaise on a regular basis,” said Nick, “[the HRA] cares about the community and are always coming up with ideas and events for the community, which Greenbelt have supported. I look forward to working with them in the future; we wish them all the best and thank them for their support of Greenbelt too.”
Hamilton Green Space Management
Some of the green spaces in Hamilton are managed by a company called Greenbelt Group.
Play Safe with Greenbelt
Greenbelt manages more than 200 play areas UK-wide, and we try our very best to make sure that they’re all kept clean and safe. Whether through vandalism or just wear and tear, however, even the best play areas need some attention - and that’s why Greenbelt works closely with a team of specially-trained play area safety contractors. Our expert Doug Wallace has 24 years’ experience in the play industry, and his team from Active Risk Management help us to ensure every item in each of Greenbelt’s 200+ play areas looks good and works properly.
As well as regular safety inspections, Doug and his teams also perform refurbishment works to bring older play areas up to scratch without passing on the high costs of purchasing and installing brand new equipment.
Greenbelt Community Engagement
Positive engagement with community groups is a core part of Greenbelt ‘s ethos, so it’s encouraging to see that our Customer Liaison Officer, Nick Upton, has been working very closely with Hamilton Residents Association throughout the year. Nick has been involved in a number of community activities with the Residents Association, having recently served on the panel of judges in the Hamilton in Bloom competition, awarding a prize for the best front garden. Nick also joined community volunteers - including members of the Residents Association, as well as representatives from local police, Hope Church and local councillors - in a ‘community litter pick’ event to keep Hamilton’s parks free of litter and debris.
